Outdoor activity tours

This tour is the one we wanted to launch a few years ago but not being able to because of the pandemic.  After the Japanese border opened, we could finally receive a couple from the US to join our new tour.

Waterfall trekking best describes what is Hida-Osaka.  We received the first foreign traveler ever after the pandemic who joined our signature tour in May 2023.

As the winter ends and spring comes, hiking in Gandate Park took over and had many comfortable hiking tours with foreign travelers.  It was 24 people from Singapore, Netherlands, the US, and Canada.

After the reopening of the Japanese border, many foreigners started to visit Japan again, and I received more foreigners ever to join our winter specialty, Hida-Osaka frozen waterfall tour.

This time total 22 people, from Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.

Hida-Osaka spreads at the west foot of Mt. Ontake where more than 200 waterfalls are hidden here and there.  Some of them deep in the mountain are accessible only with the licensed guides of 216WORKS and Hida-Osaka 200 Falls.  The tour involves trekking without track and wading and is full of adventure.  I'm the guide here since the summer of 2017.

In summer, you can't miss this activity in Hida-Osaka.  Swimming, jumping, sliding in the river.  Appreciating the nature with your whole body is the cure of your life!  The tour is available from the mid July to the mid September.

This is definitely the new winter trend in the town.  The incredible scenery deep in the snowy mountain makes you forget about the fatigue of 1.5 hours of snowshoe trekking each way.  The best time to enjoy the tour is Februray.

A tour that connects you with Hida-Osaka culturally, historically and naturally.  Hida-Osaka is not only about many waterfalls.  My love toward the town concludes that everything in HO has so much to do with Mt. Ontake.  Mt. Ontake explains everything.  You will understand what I'm trying to say if you join this tour.

A 5-hour easy hiking tour in the symbolic park, Gandate Park, in Hida-Osaka will give you the idea how this area was made after the repetitive volcanic activities of Mt. Ontake, and how local people have lived in harmony with the nature.  

70 % of the land in Japan is covered by mountains, and you will not have hard time finding the suitable mountain for you to trek!  Of course the most recommended tour is my mother mountain, Mt. Ontake.  It's one of the 3 holly mountains in Japan.  A day trekking is possible, but I highly recommend to stay overnight at the mountain lodge.
