SPRING
As cherry bloosom front travel north, you can enjoy cherry bloosom in full bloom from late March in Gifu city, to early May in Takayama and up north.
SUMMER
There's no beach in Gifu, but there is river and mountain everywhere. Clean river water, cool breeze of waterfall, clear air from mountains, shining stars in the dark sky. Your heart will find a home here.
AUTUMN
No doubt you can't enjoy autumn leaves here. Autumn leaves in high mountains, in high lands, in shrines and temples...
Also you can enjoy autumn local food. Hoba miso, miso paste grilled on a big aromatic hoba leaf is a typical local food.
WINTER
It snows most places in Gifu. In some area, it piles up more than 2 meters, 6.5ft.
How about going our for skiing, snowboarding, or snow trekking? You will also find taking a bath in a hotspring after these activities such a delight!
